First the good stuff:Place is clean, beautiful location, nicely laid out and the food prep employees are professional as is the food prep area. I noticed they used and changed hand gloves frequently. BravoBad stuff:These employees cannot smile. Seriously. I’ve been in the area for two weeks now as part of a journey to look for the best clam chowder and have visited a different restaurant or market daily. The chowder here was “okay” but not noteworthy and at $5 for a cup: overpriced. What was astounding to me was the lack of friendliness on the part of all the staff including the general manager. If you go here watch them. It’s amazing to me they are getting paid for this lack of service After looking at all the other reviews I agree with almost all of of them. This place sadly is a thumbs down 👎
Very dog friendly and the food and service are quite good. I had the fish tacos one time and the salmon caesar the next time - salmon caesar was great! Not outstanding food but we will go back for a third visit for sure.
Food and service was excellent price's well your at the coast but not too bad
Great grilled halibut steak
Fast service.. great food and wonder views of the siuslaw.
Great food!
Windy day , food good, beer ok.
We love this place! Casual and comfortable. The crab stuffed halibut is amazing. Calamari steak is awesome with capers. Staff is friendly, helpful and attentive
This was my third time eating there. I don't understand the low ratings. The staff is always friendly. The food is better than any place in Florence. This time I had the New York steak. Fantastic and cooked exactly as ordered. As for the price. It was $5-10 less than it cost in Eugene. I was very happy with the price.
Horrible restaurant, horrible service, horrible food. Ordered the Calamari with our drinks, Calamari was given to us after we got our entrees and we said something to the waitress who blamed it on someone taking it out to another table. The Calamari was burnt as well. Ordered the clam chowder, cod fish and chips as well as the cod sandwich. The clam chowder was okay, they saved money by using the smallest amount of clams possibly. The Cod fish and chips was EXTREMELY greasy. The tarter sauce was basically mayo with no seasonings and no pickles. Extremely disappointing considering there whole menu was overpriced. 85$ for 3 adults and one child. Never will I come back.
Good food, supposed to be family friendly. However at 7 pm extremely loud live music. Sat outside in the cold. Start the music at 9!!!!! Or choose not to family friendly.
Doesnt even live up to it's current 2.7 rating. Just go to Mo's unless you are trying to overpay for uninspired seafood
Oregon at it's best. Very friendly staff. Best view, priced well to keep returning. Awesome cook. Hit the spot for a seafood fiesta, great drinks. Warm atmosphere.
I am going to give two stars because we were able to eat on the patio with our dog, after all, she is part of the family. That's the best I can muster. The food was mediocre at best. I did not have a problem with the price until we received our food. Ouch! I paid how much for this? Well. at least we did not have to do the dishes..... This is my opinion, give it a try, yours might be different. Let me know if they get better so I can try and change this review. The bar is low, gives room for improvement I guess...
My brother can't out from Colorado and I took him there and it was a very pleasant experience. Food was great. Wait staff was wonderful. Prices were amazing. Thank you for the experience. Week definitely be returning.
Hospitality by far number one thank you I CM from the Fred May band it's always a pleasure
The food was actually pretty good and atmosphere was fairly decent. The only issue we had was the alleged "2 drink limit". They have great drinks and we wanted to try a few, plus it was my birthday. So for as big as our bill was, there should have been no issue service another drink or two. We weren't even buzzed yet.
Service is always rushed and feel like we cant relax and enjoy the view and to eat. Food is alright but over priced for the portions and size of fish you get.
Lovely calm and sunny day allowed us to sit on the patio for clam chowder and focaccia bread - delicious! Service was fast and friendly.
Love Florence Oregon . Great food! Beautiful view
Good seafood and craft beers. Yum .
Would give this place less than one star if I could. I wanted seafood, the menu sounded good, and the view was great so my husband and I decided to give it a try. I got the Shrimp Louie salad, which was $15 and terrible. Soggy generic salad mix, frozen shrimp, canned black olives (??), and thousand island dressing - on the side. It was tasteless and a mush of horrible texture. I couldn't eat it.My husband got the beer-battered halibut fish and chips ($21!), which as someone else perfectly described it, looked like frozen fish from a TV dinner. Flavorless and mushy, not fresh at all. And the fries weren't even hot.Their clam chowder is just okay. Service was fine, and the view is nice, but between the atrocity of the food and the very high prices they charge for lower than mediocre food, I will never be going here again. If you want generic food, go to Moe's - I think it's cheaper, and the food is better.
super busy and food was expensive and not worth what you pay
Food was inconsistent. No seasoning on fried items. Decent service quality.
We ordered seafood newburg that came with what looked like "canned" mushroom soup made with ketchup, a few mussels, assorted other items. We also ordered halibut that was really dry and we requested a redo and the second piece was much better. Overpriced with only average quality. Not what we were looking for on our vacation on the ocean.
I love places that offer a deck for dogs to sit with their owners while they eat. Kudos for that option. But right away, from being curtly escorted to a table, ignored for almost ten minutes, and then served by a waitress who seemed like she wanted to brawl with the patrons rather than serve them, I had the sensation of flight or fight. There were breaks of politeness from the staff but this is the first place in a long time where I almost walked out several times. And the servings were TINY for the price charged. One star for the dog option.
Great service. Great food. Great view of the Siuslaw River.
I am pretty baffled by the low ratings I see. In 5 days along the coast, this was the best, freshest, and most well prepared meal I ate. Service was prompt and my meal was timely. I ordered the salmon and it was fresh and perfectly cooked, with beautifully prepared fresh veggies and garlic potatoes on the side. I really appreciated the meal, thank you!
Food and dog friendly
Good food reasonable prices. Outside on the deck is great elfresco dining.
VERY EXPENSIVE!! Not much food for the price. Waiter & waitresses were very good.
We had to wear face masks to enter but removed them once we were seated. We were socially distanced from other tables. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very relaxed and welcoming. Tables outside were pet friendly.
Love the setting, very large and not-cramped. The French fries are amazing and the hamburger was excellent. The clam chowder was a little different but nice for a change. The folks were friendly and have eaten here about 10 times now :)
I loved the pizza and the Shrimp Alfredo was amazing
Regrettable. Choose another spot to eat. Had clam chowder, calamari, sweet potato fries, and drinks. Somehow came to $40 and we left feeling cheated. Every other place in town looks better. Sorry but if you're going to be a seafood restaurant on the coast, don't serve pre-made, frozen food. The only upside is that the servers are nice. I think the high reviews of this place come from the dog owners because dogs are welcome here.
Horrible service. We where served raw chicken in two of our meals. The server was rude and they added a 18% gratuity because there was six people. Also the $9 bloody Mary’s where watered down Over all a terrible experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone unless you enjoy over paying for raw food and being treated poorly.
We travel to Oregon coast every year and go here for lunch. This year will be the last for ICM. We ordered take out of a few appetizers to go while sitting outdoors. Everyone who came in well after us got their food while we waited...45 minutes passed, still no food. Finally waitress came out with our appetizers in tiny containers? Half the size for the same appetizers we ordered last year? Price extremely high for cutting back to tiny portions. The razor claim appetizer for $15 was literally 2 clams..thats it . Was an extremely disapointing experience for the price we paid.
I took my father here for lunch after golf the other day because he wanted fish and chips. Fish was average at best. My 19 dollar crab cocktail was over cooked stringy crab meat that more resembled snow crab than Dungeness which it was supposed to be. The chowder and service was decent, but the incredibly high prices will keep me from coming back. I noticed on that there is no feedback from the owners regarding the bad reviews so I doubt they care about customer input.
One star because I cannot give it no stars!! Ordered Flat iron steak medium rare, came WELL done, choked half down before I gave up and did not eat the rest. Baked potato came with rancid butter & sour cream, UGH. Clam chowder should called Flavored clam chowder as I found only 2 Small pieces of clam. Save your money and go out for pizza. PS Wife ordered hers well done and got served shoe leather!
Good food! Little pricey, so be prepared.
The only reason I'm being this generous is because the staff was friendly and they had live music. The food is ridiculously overpriced for the quality. Grilled Halibut was flavorless and overcooked. I'm sorry we wasted our one dinner in Florence on this place.
Great location, beautiful deck, but slow service and ok food.
This used to be my go to restaurant when I visited Florence. This week while camping in Florence I ordered clamstrips for takeout. When I returned to my campsite and opened the container I found my clamstrips grossly overdone. I don't understand how anyone would think it was okay to send out food like this! This is the second time this summer I have been disappointed by this restaurant. I don't know what happened, but I will not go back again!
5 star prices with 1 star quality. Dont waste your time.
Absolutely a "must" stop when we are vacationing in Florence. Wonderful service. All 3 of us always get the two-piece fish and chips lunch special. It is only $10.00 and the fish is so fresh and flaky. My guys also LOVE the chowder.
I wish I could give this place negative stars. The service was surly and this was the best part of the meal. The food is so overpriced as to be a joke. The "cioppino" was quite odd looking with over cooked rubbery seafood. The seafood pizza is just a cheap, store bought pizza with tiny shrimp tossed on it. The worst part is that it was undercooked and still frozen in the center. The clam chowder was a think soup with a few potato chunks and about 3 tiny clam pieces. The oysters and razor clams tasted off and came back for a visit several times over the evening. Please avoid this place!
Good food and service. Wish they still had their outstanding buffalo wings but it's still good
Family of of four went with the taste of fish in mind, walked in place looked empty come to find out why after we ate. A side of fries with at most 15 fries overpriced $7 defiantly not worth it. Ordered two entrees of cod both overcoocked and rubbery definitely not the fresh catch as labeled on the menu. Would rather go to Dairy Queen further up the road. Defiantly a tourist trap not worth the money overpriced kids cuisine quality. Though the service was great waitress was friendly. Great view.
Our Captain's Platter was really good. The seafood tasted fresh, the batter was light, crispy, had tasty spices, the sauces were good, mashed potatoes were yummy, green beans delicious. The house white wine was cold, crisp, refreshing, not sweet. Music was happening later, which we had to miss, unfortunately, but the warm up sounded great. Definitely windy, but we are not deterred by some gusts, and had a nice time. Would definitely go back. Be prepared to spend more than average, but you can share. Two of us had enough to eat with one meal.
Oysters were huge and nasty. Had to send em back. I really hate to do that but those shouldn't be served to anyone. Overpriced and only decent preparations.
